WOW, what a day. I started off the day working with “Playboys” front feet. After about 30 minutes I was able pick out both front hooves. I got on the phone and called my farrier, Troy Bell. He was busy but made the time anyway to come over. “Playboy” stood like a champ while troy trimmed both feet. He looks so much better. He probably feels alot better as well. I am so proud of him. And I can’t thank Troy enough for comming over on such short notice.
Next I introduced”‘Playboy” to a saddle blanket and saddle. He did amazing. He bucked a bit but calmed down really fast. He wore the saddle for about an hour or so. I was able to step up in the stirrup and pet him on the off side within minutes. I decided to call it quits after that, I don’t want to over do it with him this early in his training.
I am having trouble with the picture and video applications on thia blog, so check out all the pictures and videos from these 2 links http://equinepartnership.ning.com/photo/albums/california-playboy, http://equinepartnership.ning.com/video/gettin-a-trim or on my facebook page.
